Thetraveljunkie.org – Over the past few years, the popularity of e-bikes and e-scooters has continued to soar in Queensland. In Queensland, e-scooters are only allowed on footpaths where they can travel up to 25kph. Queensland is the only state or territory where a rider can travel at speeds above 10kph on a footpath. Federal and state regulations have struggled to keep up with the new technology.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Last week, we went to Fig Tree Walk on Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Australia. 6.5kms south of Kenilworth on the Kenilworth/Maleny road lies one of the jewels of the Hinterland walks. This easy 1.1km return wheelchair friendly walk explores riverine rainforest growing near the junction of Little Yabba Creek and Mary River. This forest was once extensive along watercourses in this area. Trees growing here include the Moreton Bay fig, giant stinging tree, black bean, white cedar, flooded gum, brown tulip oak and piccabeen palm.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Yesterday, we went to Yandina Creek Wetland to discover our environment, to connect with nature and to enjoy all that the little big jewels that we have so close to us have to offer. Wetlands are amazing places – they’re the kidneys of the planet. Remove nutrients and sediments from our waterways to improve water quality and are a place for flora and fauna to thrive.
Thetraveljunkie.org – The other day, We woke up at 5am to go for a 5:30am e-scooter. It sounds a bit hard core, but our reason is that we feel that we prefer to go when there are less cars, less pedestrians and fewer other cyclists on the shared pathway! Not to mention, watching the sun rise on the Coolum Beach in Sunshine Coast is a just beautiful. We rode 26km from Coolum Beach to Twin Waters Beach (return) along the Coastal Pathway in 2 hours. Including a 30 minute stop for a cup of coffee at Liitle Boat Espresso.
Thetraveljunkie.org – North Arm Yandina Creek Road, Toolborough Road and Zgrajewski Road in Yandina Creek, Sunshine Coast NEED sealed roads, pathways, bike lanes, footpaths and public transportation. People all over the world are starting to radically reimagine travel and commutes with electric vehicles (EVs) and see that these are better for the environment than internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. However here on the Sunshine Coast we still lack the basic infrastructure, such as sealed roads, footpaths, bike lanes to allow the realisation of these technologies.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Last week, I woke up early in the morning and took The Bojoku out for a little e-bike ride in the Boardwalk View of Mount Coolum, Sunshine Coast, Australia. The Boardwalk View of Mount Coolum offers a stunning view of Mount Coolum. I rode my DYU V1 which looked sporty, tough, sleek black, sexy and a bit badass! It adopts minimal design. Its hidden battery is integrated with the body, showing the simplicity and fashion. And, The Bojoku rode her F-wheel A5, stronger for real. F-wheel A5 with its portable and removable battery, convenient for charging.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Last weekend we went e-scootering in Brisbane, about a hour 30 minutes drive south of Sunshine Coast. We did a bit visiting friend house, talking, laughing, and lunch eating. We spent a glorious hours riding along bike lanes from New Farm Park to State Library of Queensland (return). It was really exciting and so much fun.
