Thetraveljunkie.org – The Mooloolaba Spit is located at the southern end of Mooloolaba Beach on the Sunshine Coast. The beach changes accordingly, with a shallow rips during and following higher seas, while at other times it is continuous with no rips. This bar narrows and finally disappears toward the harbour wall, where usually low waves surge up the beach. There is a walkway that links Mooloolaba Main and Mooloolaba Spit beaches. Our kind of Sunday roast at the Mooloolaba Spit looks like fresh seafood of the day and chips, with a picnic blanket table watching the sun go down over the water. Don’t worry, there’s always going to be a seat for you around the table!
