Traveljunkieindonesia.com – The other night, I skipped off by myself to enjoy a simple dinner at a little area called Barito, South Jakarta.

There is an outdoor street food area, with tables under ‘fancy’ umbrella, push carts and under the trees.

I ordered Sate Padang – made from beef cut into small dices with spicy sauce on top. It consists similarity to Minangese rendang spices, turmeric leaves and other spices.

Sate Padang has a thick and very hot sauce or gravy due to peanuts and ample chilies.

Bleh, It looked terrible. But it tasted fantastic! OMG, I loved it!

It was, however, a very nice change to what I had been eating in the past few weeks.

I will definitely be back with my special friends.

Enjoy Jakarta!
