Thetraveljunkie.org – We left our hotel at 7AM and we got the slow boat cruise to see one of Luang Prabang’s most special spots: the Xanghai Village. We got lost in its little streets and took these photos on our morning off. We loved walking around, tucking into homemade textile. It was the best way to a nice leisurely walk because there was no wifi!

Money flows, comes and goes, but time… once wasted, cannot be recovered again. Traveling will make you spend money but you always win something and it’s true.
Thetraveljunkie.org – We love Luang Prabang, Laos. It’s so pleasantly run down and the architecture in the centre of the city stayed unchanged from the French colonial time. Buildings saw their glory back in the late 1800s, now tinted and worn by time. Streets are narrow with many tucked alleyways and people friendly. Always on the lookout for a bite to eat. The food is glorious, fresh with herbs, spices and somebody will be cooking something. In the morning is an eery time in Luang Prabang. As if some monks turns the energy on and the city starts. Fascinating contrast and such fun atmosphere.
Thetraveljunkie.org – When in Luang Prabang, Laos. We went to villages there is producing snake and scorpion wine. You might not know that these items are illegal or inhumane. As a traveler, you have the power to contribute to conservation. Sustainable travel gets easier every year. In Southeast Asia it’s not uncommon to find bottles of wine stuffed with whole snakes and scorpions for sale. Some believe it has medicinal value (not true), and others like the oddity factor. Snake and scorpion wine has been considered an effective curative for thousands of years but is also widely thought to increase male virility. But the truth is, it’s cruel and inhumane.
Thetraveljunkie.org – The Bojoku were picked up from Luang Prabang International Airport, Laos, and taken to our hotel Maison Dalabua, a little oasis of peace and tranquility. A friendly and efficient checkin and we were shown to our room. The name Dalabua means ” Lotus Princess ” which perfectly describes the refreshing character of this charming boutique hotel surrounded by UNESCO classified ponds.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Pattaya is always summer, welcoming and has plenty of open spaces, hence why we love it. We discovered A’ La Campagne in one of its tourist hubs, and were quite surprised. It was recommended by a few local people so we knew we had to check it out. It’s the perfect spot to retire to if you want to get away from the crowds taking photos of the distinctive colourful farm tour and tuck into healthy and organic lifestyle, and a lovely glass of lemongrass. We have to admit that we’ve also seen the lunch on instagram and it looks incredible.
Thetraveljunkie.org – When in Bangkok, we went to Bo.lan Restaurant (an Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant) for dinner. Bo.lan’s authentic Thai cooking draws influence from the country’s fiery street food and home cooking traditions as well as its more refined Royal Court-style cuisine. Only the tastiest organic, locally sourced products are used. Talking about Thai food, it was certainly one of our favorites.
Thetraveljunkie.org – It’s not even a secret that we love Thailand. Every time we go for work we leave craving for more, so we used some days off to get away, get lost around the Pattaya, and make tons of plans. This time we escaped real life with Hilton Pattaya, one of our favourites. This hotel, part of the new Central Festival Pattaya Beach, is located in the heart of the city overlooking Pattaya Beach and the Bay. And an entire new concept of city living where Pattaya’s modern buildings blend with ocean decorations, full of incredible pieces, that made our stay unforgettable. We felt like home.
Thetraveljunkie.org – There are two types of people: those who enjoy a relaxing holiday under a palm tree and those who want to go on a activity holiday. We’re part of the second group and that’s why when we stayed in Pattaya we organised a cruise on a private yacht with Blue Voyage Thailand and snorkeling trip around Khram Yai and Khram Noi Islands, and Monkey Island. We woke up at 7am and we went to the Ocean Marina Yacht Club from our hotel, the Hilton Pattaya.

We went to Pattaya and stayed at the Mövenpick Siam Na Jomtien Pattaya, with direct beach access, luxurious facilities and a warm sense of Swiss hospitality, the resort has everything our need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. And, ideally located close to many of Thailand’s top tourist attractions, and just steps away from the Ocean Marina Yacht Club, and stands as the region’s only international five-star hotel outside of central Pattaya. It’s a really welcoming place and serves one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had – all in the most stunningly decorated venue. Can you think of a better way to start off your morning in the Thai capital?
Thetraveljunkie.org – We got up very early to the Kaan Show, but it was worth it. The show is a fantastic cinematic live experience: the story about a young man like ‘Kaan’, reading thick tomes of Thai literature in a library is no different from taking sleeping pills, the ancient narratives and drawings lulling him into a slumber. But then the librarian hands him a book with Kaan’s name on the cover and tells him to read it. The young man opens the book, and the unexpected happens: he is warped into the story along with his sidekick ‘Gabilpuksa’, and they embark on a fantastical adventure where the characters in ancient literature come to life. They have to wager everything they have and find a way to return to the mortal world.
