Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Hi travel junkies! I was able to experience a party hard at Gadjah Wong Restaurant, Yogyakarta.
It was very, very popular. I’ve read so many positive and negative reviews about this place, I thought it was a good opportunity to check it out with them.
The restaurant was nice, east meet west. We sat at the Kura-Kura Room – presents a more traditional atmosphere where travel junkies are accompanied by gamelan ensemble and Javanese decoration.

As we sat waiting for our food, the soft and soothing gamelan tune made for a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
The performers in traditional attire helped reinforce the Javanese setting. Waiters who came in to plate our order also wore traditional garments.

Fresh fruit ice cream. IT WAS AMAZING!!
We walked away with full bellies and I felt like such a culinary rockstar.
I had such a great time! It was a really wonderful way to spend an evening.
I strongly, strongly recommend it.
