Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Hi travel junkies! I hope you all had a fantastic start to the new year, we certainly had a memorable and relaxing few weeks.
Our group wisatakita took a trip to the Klaten region of Central Java. It’s a region best for its beautiful forests, rice fields, springs and overall stunning views.
While we were in Klaten (about 30 minutes drive from Solo or 1 hour from Yogyakarta). We visited Umbul (natural water spring) Ponggok. Showing us all the best local spots to visit and omg I had an incredible time!
Behold!

The colours were just amazing!
This is the Umbul Ponggok – quite possibly the most beautiful springs I have ever seen. A great spot for us who love snorkeling or playing with thousands of fish. How insanely gorgeous is that view?!
Here, where we stopped for a picnic, pose, skinny dipping, and snorkling.
The swim was also quite an experience. The water was very clean and fresh. It was a very unusual and stimulating sensation!

I watched them glide quietly over the still, mirrored waters. Oh my it looked heavenly. I promised myself that – one day in the future – I’m looking forward to coming back already.
Well, Ensure that you collect all your rubbish and any litter you find as well. Plastics in particular are a serious threat to springs life.
Happy Sustainable Travels!
