Like A Local at Ameyoko Markets, Ueno, Tokyo – Japan

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – On the weekday, we went to visit Ameyoko Markets, UenoTokyo.

This maze of streets next to the railway tracks between Ueno and Okachimachi stations comprises two markets: the covered Ueno Centre Mall and open-air Ameyoko itself.

The mall sells an array of souvenirs and clothes, while the 500 stalls of jam-packed Ameyoko – one of Tokyo’s greatest street markets – specialise in fresh food especially fish, organic products, herbs and spices, flowers, art work, jewellery, accessories, bits and pieces.

And it was very exciting to walk around like a local and see a local tradition.

We had a fantastic time and we were indeed glowing.

Stay tuned for my adventures in Tokyo.

A big thank you Japan National Tourism Organization, Garuda Indonesia, my readers, for following and supporting me on this journey!
