ULURU – KATA TJUTA BY HELICOPTER | AERIAL VIEWS OF ULURU | G’DAY AUSTRALIA

Thetraveljunkie.org – Exploring Uluru – Kata Tjuta by helicopter is truly one of the most breathtaking ways to experience the Red Centre of Australia. Operated by Professional Helicopter Services, this unforgettable journey takes you above two of the country’s most iconic landmarks – Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). From the sky, you can witness the endless desert landscapes, the striking red rock formations, and the dramatic contrast between earth and sky that make this part of Australia so magical. What makes this flight even more special is not just the video footage, but also the opportunity to capture unique stills along the way. I brought my Fujifilm X Half camera to document the adventure, adding a nostalgic film-like touch to the experience. The half-frame format allowed me to double my shots and experiment with angles that highlight the raw beauty of the desert. These photographs complement the video perfectly, creating a travel documentary that feels both cinematic and personal.

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA ECONOMY CLASS | BRISBANE TO ULURU AYERS ROCK | SEAT 8A NO WINDOW, DON’T CHOOSE IT!

Thetraveljunkie.org – Flying from Brisbane to Uluru (Ayers Rock) with Virgin Australia was a dream trip on my travel bucket list. This journey took me straight into the heart of Australia, to the iconic red centre where one of the world’s greatest natural wonders stands proudly. I was booked on Virgin Australia flight VA 1693 in economy class, and while the overall flight was fantastic, there’s one travel tip every passenger should know: avoid seat 8A — there’s no window! When I first checked in, I was excited to be seated in row 8, thinking I’d enjoy a perfect view of the Australian outback from above. However, to my surprise, seat 8A had no window at all. For anyone who loves taking in the view during a flight, this was a bit disappointing. So, if you’re booking with Virgin Australia for this route, make sure to double-check your seat choice to avoid the same situation.

MORNING TRIP WITH FUJIFILM X HALF | AUSTRALIA STREET PHOTOGRAPHY | MANLY BOAT HARBOR BRISBANE | ASMR

With rows of yachts and sailboats gently swaying, soft reflections on the calm waters, and the fresh coastal breeze, the harbour sets the tone for relaxation and inspiration. On this morning trip, I brought along my Fujifilm X Half, a unique half-frame camera, to capture the subtle details and atmosphere of this seaside escape. For this shoot, I chose the Classic Neg film simulation, a favourite among Fujifilm users for its nostalgic tones and cinematic mood. The subtle contrast and muted colour palette perfectly complemented the morning light, enhancing the natural blues of the water, the whites of the boats, and the soft golden glow of the sun. Each shot became a gentle reminder that photography isn’t just about capturing scenes—it’s about telling stories through emotions and tones.
