Some weeks ago we decided to take the gocar and just get lost out there. We ended up discovering Borobudur in the rain, the single largest Buddhist temple on Earth.
Thetraveljunkie.org – One of the things that we like most about traveling is eating new food and Jakarta is home to the perfect spot, which became our favourite place to have breakfast: Pullman Jakarta Indonesia. This restaurant is the perfect combination of concrete, smell of eastern and western.
Thetraveljunkie.org – When in Bangkok, Thailand. I went to the Nai Lert Park Heritage Home and enjoyed the story of the Home and its surroundings spread across 24,000 sqm of lush ground. The house showcases a series of antiques and artefacts since World War II until the present, all of which are of the family’s private collections.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Hope you all had a lovely Christmas with your families and loved ones! When in Melbourne, we had a little festivities, dinners, lunches and outings leading up to Christmas. Surprisingly, it wasn’t very stressful at all. It was been very chilled, manageable and very enjoyable to catch up with families.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Seasalt is one of the lovely places we’d previously seen on Alila Seminyak social media channels. It’s a hidden gem in Bali. It has a gorgeous floor, a lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff and delicious food. Seasalt marks the start of a tantalizing seafood dining experience in Seminyak, with a dash of Japanese infusion, exciting palates with an enticing taste of the sea in its fresh seafood selection.

It is part of the charm. When we were in Alila Seminyak we had that rainy day, so we decided to spend the morning at Seasalt Seminyak. Stepped into Seasalt took us into what resembles a stylish seaside residence dominated by ocean hues and cozy décor, and is perfect to enjoy a coffee in the morning while you admire the beauty of balinese craft and lines.
Thetraveljunkie.org – In the meantime I’m writing this, I remember the sensation perfectly fine. We looked each other but we didn’t say a word. We didn’t say a word but we were thinking the same. It looked like a dream or a drama romantic film. We were, really, speechless. That’s Alila Seminyak in Bali. We call it in many different ways: art tropical island or the tropical island that wants to follow the ocean.

I had expectations of grandeur myself as I travelled just off the northwest coast of Malaysia and prepared to embark on the Mangrove and Eagles Safari in Langkawi, Malaysia. But I soon discovered, amid mangroves and dense geoforests, that observing wildlife on a smaller scale can be just as exhilarating.
Thetraveljunkie.org – A must try when you are at Langkawi, Malaysia. Take in the breathtaking view of Langkawi islands as the cable car leaves the Oriental Village. There are a host of little shops catering to your fancy whilst you wait your turn for the ride. The journey spans 2.2 kilometers, 600m above sea level, during which you’ll get to see the crystal clear waters of Langkawi and its sandy white beaches in the distance. The panoramic view also offers a breathtaking view beyond the island. You can even spot the massive Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls from a distance.
Thetraveljunkie.org – A few weeks ago we went to Langkawi Islands for the first time, an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, northwestern Malaysia which is adjacent to the Thai border. And it was an incredible experience. During our trip we stayed at Resort World Langkawi. We took these photos one sunset cruise. Enjoy the warm sea breeze and soothing sounds of the waves lapping against the boat.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Luang Prabang is one of Laos‘s most famous cities. Wat Sensoukaram and Wat Sene really does have something for everyone. It’s the oldest in the city as well as the busiest. We loved getting lost around its streets and ?nding lots of Buddhist temples where we prayed for ourself, family and the world. Even if you are not a Buddhist you can go to a Buddhist temple and be welcomed warmly by the monks and the laypeople there.
