Thetraveljunkie.org – The best thing about Bangkok is that there’s plenty of new things to see and do. With Thai Airways we came across Siam Niramit Bangkok for a special Thai dinner. If you do go, don’t forget to go to the bathroom to wash your hands before eating!

Thetraveljunkie.org – Here are some photos from our trip to Thai Nakon Nielloware with Thai Airways and Tourism Authority of Thailand. Famous for its unique nielloware, Thai Nakon was established in 1926 as the first and oldest Nielloware maker in Bangkok. The ‘niello’ came from Thai word ‘niel’ for black, which is enriched on the smooth surface of stering silver after using acid reaction.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Wat Bovornniwet (also Bowonniwet, Bavorn Niwet or just “Wat Bovorn”) is the must-go to place to visit in Bangkok if you like Thai Buddhist temple and heritage, and if not, well you should still go because you’ll definitely enjoy it. The temple was established in the early 1800s when Prince Mongkut, then a monk known as Phra Vajiranyano, became the abbot of Wat Mai, a smaller temple predating Wat Bovorn.
Thetraveljunkie.org – A great choice for lunch in Bangkok is Areesaa Lote Dee. Surprisingly, it’s a longstanding restaurant in Bangkok’s Bang lamphu neighbourhood, “Hollywood of the Past”. Tucked off the eastern end of Th Tani, Aisah Rotdee takes the form of a Thai-Muslim food court. We ordered the spectrum of classic Thai-Muslim dishes:
Thetraveljunkie.org – We arrived in Bang Lamphu “Hollywood of the Past” Bangkok, fully energised, and ready to celebrate Thai cultural out with local artists. We were in charge of Thai music in Duriyapraneet House, where we danced and had a fab time! Since its establishment in 1898, the Duriyapraneet House has been actively engaged in preservation of Thai music thoughout several generations.
Thetraveljunkie.org – One of the things that we love most about traveling is organising foodie routes in all the different cities that we go to. It’s the best way to get to know restaurants and cafés. We felt drawn towards the Blue Elephant Bangkok, a very cosy Thai restaurant. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food is to die for.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Bang Lamphu is one of our favourite areas in Bangkok. Its areas are the most photogenic and it’s best place to get lost in between the city’s tuktuk taxi and do some shopping. A short walk away, you will find Phra Sumen Fort, one of the two remaining forts in Bangkok. It was constructed during the reign of King Rama I in 1783 along with 14 other octagonal forts to protect the capital from invasions.
Thetraveljunkie.org – After a 2 hour flight with Thai Airways, we knew that our next destination would perfect for us to relax in. We arrived in Bangkok in the afternoon and after about a hour drive we arrived at our hotel: the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok which will enable you to design your perfect holiday.

Thetraveljunkie.org – We woke up at 7am and we went to the airport. The Thai Airways was waiting for us to spend the rest of the day in the sky. We are off to Bangkok, Thailand. We booked our flights with Thai Airways and we are ready to continue dreaming. Hope you enjoy our pictures as much as we had fun taking them. Thetraveljunkie.org – It is fantastic how We can be walking along a quiet path in a Manggarai forest… then suddenly I look over and there’s a beautiful Waerebo Waterfalls! And it’s, you know, doing it’s thing, as it has been for the last hundred years or so. There’s so much beauty everywhere.
