Thetraveljunkie.org – Early in the morning, I was in the kitchen with ‘mama-mama’ making breakfast. They make everything from scratch (or sourced locally) using old-style cooking techniques, but with a modern twist. I saw homemade kerupuk and nasi goreng kampung. The kitchen was traditional, lovely and authentic! Today I wanted to share this: Waerebo kitchen scene.
Thetraveljunkie.org – My Trip My Adventure TransTV and I travelled to the Waerebo for MTMA 3th Unity episode. We spent 8 hours driving from Labuhan Bajo to Denge and 4 hours walking, hiking and climbing mountains in the midnight. we watched the weather clear up around us. We took little breaks to just sit on the grass, talking, laughing and just watching the elements transform in front of our eyes. It was glorious!
Thetraveljunkie.org – This beautiful road between Labuhan Bajo and Denge is one of the most amazing places we have ever seen. There’s not a better way to start the week than driving a car and enjoying nature, with rings of fire at the right side and the Indian ocean at the left side. Truth be told, our Flores trip has been very special, and a lot of it has to do with renting a car and spending some days at the Waerebo.
Thetraveljunkie.org – We have already told you that the Labuhan Bajo sunsets are probably what we miss most about the city. In today’s photos My Trip My Adventure TransTV and I spent some time in one of our favourite areas, Labuhan Bajo, as the sun went down. Our first stop in the area was at Waecicu, an amazing space where you can get your hands on some really cool things. We then went to Bajo View, one of our favourite restaurants nearby. Our perfect afternoon can be summarised as: drinking and eating. There is no place in the world to be happier than at Labuhan Bajo.
Thetraveljunkie.org – My Trip My Adventure TransTV and I spent a night in Labuhan Bajo. We love visiting different spots in our country and we went looking for Batu Cermin. This limestone outcrop also known as Mirror Rock, includes a series of caves located about 4km east of town. The main cave is in the centre of the outcrop – take the ladder walkway up and around into the longest canyon, then proceed through a series of chambers to where the cave opens into a towering, narrow canyon.
Thetraveljunkie.org – My Trip My Adventure TransTV and I have travelled a lot, so Waerebo Village seemed like the perfect place for ‘My Trip My Adventure 3rd Anniversary‘ trip and it has inadvertently taken a little spot in our hearts. The best thing about having dreams is to be able to make them come true. We booked our flights and we are ready to continue dreaming. we are off to Waerebo. After a 6 hour flight, having stopped over in Bali, we arrived in Labuhan Bajo. Flores is always a good idea.
Thetraveljunkie.org – During our last trip to South Jakarta we came across a ‘hidden cafe’ in the Swiss-Belhotel Pondok Indah, Swiss-Cafe Restaurant, and soon became one of our favorites restaurants in the world. After going up (and up, and up) streets, we discovered this trendy-restaurant were to enjoy a good tea, nice atmosphere, free wi-fi and unbeatable views of the pool. Thetraveljunkie.org – It’s Monday so today we want to share with you one of our favorite places in South Jakarta, Swiss-Belhotel Pondok Indah. We discovered this hotel and beautiful place on google map and we love it. The Nasi Bakar Teri Tempe Kemangi are delicious and yaaass complimentary Es Campur per portion. There is no better lunch than Nasi Bakar and Es Campur, isn’t it?
Thetraveljunkie.org – Sometimes South Jakarta really surprises you. I chose Pondok Indah as my Jakarta location – an area I know very well and absolutely love. Get a duck’s eye view of Almere in the Netherlands, a nature-surrounded paradise just 30 minutes away from Amsterdam! Find a kayak, boat or canoe and paddle your way from canal to canal. Always close to water and beautiful nature. It is highly recommended to see Almere from the water during a visit, that’s just priceless.
