A Street Food Dinner with Sate Padang Barito

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – The other night, I skipped off by myself to enjoy a simple dinner at a little area called Barito, South Jakarta.

There is an outdoor street food area, with tables under ‘fancy’ umbrella, push carts and under the trees.

I ordered Sate Padang – made from beef cut into small dices with spicy sauce on top. It consists similarity to Minangese rendang spices, turmeric leaves and other spices.

Komodo National Park is really the real wonder of the world. Beside its exotic beauty, Komodo dragon, kind of prehistoric animals, are living there.

Komodo dragon is a beast and cannibal animal, hence all travel junkies should explore national park carefully. Even though it has bad eyesight, Komodo dragon is able to sensibly hear and smell.

Komodos, the world’s largest monitor lizards, can grow up to three metres and typically weigh to 70 kilograms.

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – The other day, the sun was out and fresh, the rubber forest was bright and felt alive. In the wild, the rubber trees (hevea brasiliensis) grow to heights of 100 to 130 feet, and can live up to 100 years.

There are few places in Batu Jamus, Karanganyar, Central Java that strike up as much imagination as the party animal destination.

And, it’s a wonderful destination. The perfect place to spend a few days or a weekend. In fact, I showed up on the Rubber Forest’s highest peak, just days after this durian season.
