Thetravelunkie.org – There are many ways you can describe Bukit Cumbri in just one word. Some moments stay etched in your memory forever. This was once such moment. It was a mellow, foggy morning in the rain season. Quite early, around 5am. We were sitting sleeping standing on the top of Bukit Cumbri, Wonogiri, Central Java. What’s the view like? You can judge for yourself from the photos below.
Thetraveljunkie.org – On our second day in Wonogiri we visited one of the city’s most iconic spots, the famous Bukit Cumbri. We parked at local house and we walked while to take some photos around there with the travel junkie t-shirt. In our next trip we want to hike up there to be able to see the whole city from the top without fog.
Thetraveljunkie.org – Kedung Tumpang is the coastline in Tulungagung that we most wanted to see when we flew in a few months ago and the truth is that we were not disappointed. After a 3.5 hours drive from Surakarta we arrived at Pucanglaban where we were parked our car and move to ride motorbikes with a distance of about 4 kms to begin our adventure in one of the district’s most charming areas.
Thetraveljunkie.org – The best about traveling is to discover new places and today we are publishing these photos which were taken in Alila Solo when we had a special dinner at Épice restaurant, enchants local and foreign palates with a varied menu and welcoming ambience. Anyway, yes the place was pretty squishy.
Thetraveljunkie.org – It is easy to have the perfect morning. You only need good city, Alila Solo and a good breakfast. I need to get into the Epice and getting a good breakfast is pretty perfect. We love the city’s culinary culture and today we want to share with you one of our favourites spots, the place is amazing and food is delicious. After recharging our batteries we went to Laweyan, one of the city’s most touristy places, and it is definitely worth it for the Batik. If you add good weather, a bike and Solo’s exquisite light, then your day is absolutely perfect.

Thetraveljunkie.org – Today I take you to one of my favorite spots to let go and enjoy. The Oasis Museum, I called it, which opened in 2010, has since welcomed hundreds of patrons, most of whom heard about it through word of mouth. There are around 500 items on display, including CDs, cassettes, vinyl, videos, official merchandise, T-shirts, posters, calendars, magazines and many more.

Thetraveljunkie.org – I made my way into the city to attended a special program #GAbehindTheScene at Garuda Indonesia Training Centre and GMF Aeroasia Hangar. Garuda Indonesia Training Centre provides a complete facility for all cabin crew and pilot to have important trainings such as: emergency landing or evacuation training, flight simulator, etc. And, GMF Aeroasia Hangar provides the maintenance facility for all flights as well as other airlines. GMF Aeroasia had just launched its 4th Hangar which claimed to be the world’s biggest maintenance facility for narrow body aircraft.
Thetraveljunkie.org – National Geographic Indonesia and Western Australia Tourism Board invited me out to sharing and talking about my experience. We were able to spend the day and had a workshop in which we showed the specialised press how to make a good story of the journey during a tour of Western Australia’s most well-known spots. Thetraveljunkie.org – A few weeks back, Johanna Brismar Skoog, Ambassador of Sweden to Indonesia invited me out to experience a truly original Swedish Smörgåsbord, exclusively prepared by Chef Lotta Lassesson from Cafe Smorgas in Bali and a relaxing and friendly FIKA with the award winning baker Elliot Davernas from Crematology Coffee Roaster.
Thetraveljunkie.org – We went all the way to Peucang Island in Ujung Kulon National Park to enjoy some down time on the tropical island, long lunches and good music. We managed to get some sun and visit the various underwater spots, and attended a private party. It was the best way to get some born to be wild and rejuvenate our souls with the sea breeze.
Thetraveljunkie.org – The morning after we went for breakfast at our wooden-boat. We tucked into some delicious Indonesian noodle bowls, the perfect way to start a super hot day. I am absolutely loving all the colors in Peucang Island! The lush, rich, deep, mossy emeralds and forest greens are making my heart beat with sheer delight. I feel so happy and healthy just looking at it all. Everyday we fall in love more and more with Ujung Kulon National Park.
