Thetraveljunkie.org – I woke up bright in the morning and took downstairs for an indulgent hot breakfast. My breakfast usually looks like this. I call this my power breakfast.
I’ve been very impressed with the breakfast at Le Gran Cafe, Hotel Gran Mahakam and I love to eat so much I can’t really take a trip somewhere without scoping the local culinary scene.

Somebody is going to rub warm oil all over my body and do away with all the stress and tension in my muscles. And maybe if I’m lucky, this person will be a tall, Javanese young lady, sexy and with big strong hands… haha ok, I’m just kidding.
I arrived at the SPA Hotel Gran Mahakam. And it was gorgeous! It was a modern spa in Jakarta that transformed the space into a chic and comfy place to relax and pamper myself.

Thetraveljunkie.org – I organised a christmas dinner for myself with a friend at AOKI Japanese Cuisine, Hotel Gran Mahakam – Jakarta. It was perfect!
This was the second time that I have eaten here. The first time, I forget to bring my Sony NEX-7 camera, and my Sony Xperia Z2 snaps just didn’t do justice to the food and ambiance.
The food was delicious, the price of the meal was great value and I had a lovely experience. So to come here the second time… my mouth was watering with anticipation!
Thetraveljunkie.org – While I was at Hotel Gran Mahakam, I was invited to have an experience OxyLUXE and foot relaxation, a luxurious oxygen therapy.
I arrived at 2.15pm. I filled out a guest consultation form. The staff seemed very knowledgeable. I was thankful for their insight and help me took some photos.
And, I met my foot relaxation therapist. She led me into a futuristic chamber. She was very warm and friendly and we started an oxygen therapy and foot relaxation.

Thetraveljunkie.org – The Hotel Gran Mahakam had been on my list for a while. Opened a few years ago, it doesn’t smell of new anymore – it smells better! The more I visit Hotel Gran Mahakam, the more I like it – and located in Jalan Mahakam, very close to Blok M area and other South Jakarta sights.
If I had to choose very few words to describe the Hotel Gran Mahakam, they would be a classic reinvented, absolutely stunning and I do not know what else.
