HAT YAI FLOATING MARKET, THAILAND

Thetraveljunkie.org – When in Hat Yai, we went to Hat Yai Floating Market or Khlong Hae Floating Market, an incredible culture space where you can enjoy local culture while having the place to yourself. There is large number of vendors selling a big variety of local Thai food and snacks. A real festival of colours, smells and flavours! The food is mostly halal and suitable for muslims. The market also has a campaign for the environment as the sellers use bamboo tubes, coconut shells, and clay pots instead of using plastic bags or foam boxes.
