We found the most heritage station in the side of the city, Kantang Railway Station. This iconic railway station is historically a work of art in itself and it is impossible not to take any photos of it. Traveling like Soekarno when we are in the Trang is a must for us.

We parked relatively near and we walked for a little while to take a canoe for into the belly of dragon. You can come across real-life wooden dragons in the Wang Thep Taro Learning Centre, the owner (Mr. Jaroon Keawla-eiad) runs his home-business by using Theptaro wood as the main material to produce herbal tea, perfume, ointment, mosquito repellent, antiseptic oils, and fat reduction oils. Old roots of the tree are used for décor. It’s a must see if you drive from Tham Le Khao Kob to the city and specially if you were born in the 1980s and Dragons is one of your favourite films. Now, the dragons are the main attraction.

THE ORIGIN OF FAMOUS CAKE IN TRANG, THAILAND

Thetraveljunkie.org – I’ve been baking again! We went to Kuk Ming-Lum Phura Cake Shop, the origin of famous cake in Trang, Thailand. Trang Cake is a cake that made of only a few ingredients; flour, butter, sugar, food color, baking powder and chicken eggs. The process of baking is to mix all the ingredients together and then pour it into the mold cake which has the hole in the middle. In Indonesia we call it with Kue Bolu. In Trang, baking cake is a common activity within household. It is widely baked and developed into several flavors like pandan, three flavor, fresh milk, coconut, orange, green tea, jack fruit, vanila and many more. They were simply amazing!

Evenings at Anantara Si Kao Resort and Spa can be spent differently. For instance you can watch the sun set down into the ocean lying on the golden sand, or you can do that while enjoying a Thai dinner and a glass of beer on the beach.

MAGICAL MORAKOT CAVE, KO MOOK – THAILAND

Thetraveljunkie.org – We have already made one of our dreams come true. We spent a day at Morakot Cave (Emerald Cave) or “Tam Nam” a local name, one of our favorite spots in Ko Mook, Trang, Thailand. We were able to relaxing and enjoying white delicate sand with an emerald colored sea. We love the cave which is narrow but wide enough about 80 metre long. The locals used to came here first for the birds nest. Because in the past there were many swallows.

Love permeates the air when the 20th Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony takes place. For twenty consecutive years, it is Trang’s most celebrated event and a major success in terms of publicity. It is not surprising that many couples want to join the event, given Trang’s beautiful seaside setting and the uniqueness of the ritual itself. The wedding ceremony has gained media recognition thus bringing fame to the province and Kingdom of Thailand as the first country to issue a marriage license underwater.
