Everything in Komodo National Park surprised me. I also learned about how these beautiful, gentle animals live.

A group of friends and I sailed the National Park, so remote that just getting there feels like an adventure. I would wake early to watch the sun rise, smell the ocean and catch the sun set, feeling a clear connection between nature and my inner self.
We had our own wonderful Pink Beach so we could watch colorful sea-life, dived into the perfect turquoise water! In those calm waters, I truly found home.

Thetraveljunkie.org – The other day, my friend and I traipsed across every corner of the Baiyoke Sky Tower, the highest building in Thailand with the spectacular view of Bangkok and beyond the metropolis, up to the Gulf of Thailand.
On the 77th floor there is the observation deck an extra option to the observation deck is the revolving view point at the 84th floor from where you have a marvelous view over the city and you can even see as far as the Gulf of Thailand.
Thetraveljunkie.org – The Baiyoke Sky Hotel has an international buffet dinner on the 76th floor in the Baiyoke Sky Buffet. And has amazing and sweeping views of the city.
I was invited to try out the menus, and took the opportunity to have a date night with my Bangkok!
My friends and I were surprised at the amount of choices in the buffet, it was huge and there was so much seafood, we both thought it was very good value.

Thetraveljunkie.org – The other day I attended a “Thailand Cooking Class” courtesy of Sampran Riverside, Nakhon Pathom – Thailand.
I am not a great cook. I love art and I love food, so I am the perfect travel junkie.
The class was at 10.30am, followed by lunch. I arrived, just in time, at a gorgeous little garden, with an outdoor kitchen at the back. It was completely fitted out as a professional cooking school.

Ikat (n) — a term adopted from Indonesia word “menikat,” which means “to bind, tie or wrap around” – is known in Thai as “mud mii.”An ancient art found in many cultures, the process involves dyeing only certain segments of the yarn, achieved by first wrapping those parts that are to remain undyed.
Well, after careful measuring of the yarns to the exact width of the fabric, artisans are to tie off areas of pattern which are intended to resist the natural dyes that they use to color the rest of their weave.
Eight additional colors can be created by mixing three primary colors; red, blue and yellow, all very popular hues that have been traditionally used to color fabric with an over-dye technique.
