Traveljunkieindonesia.com – I made these pancakes on the weekend. A very yummy treat on ‘everyday is like sunday’ morning.
Pancake recipe I’ve tried to date. I’ve modified it to suit my own taste, of course!
Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Komodo Marine Park has some of the most exhilarating scuba diving in Indonesia.
It’s a region swept by strong currents and cold upswellings, created by the convergence of the warmer Flores Sea and the cooler Selat Sumba (Sumba Strait) – conditions which bring in a rich soup of plankton and an astonishing diversity of marine life.
Mantas and whales are drawn to feed on the plankton here during their migration from the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea, while dolphins are also common in the waters between Komodo and Flores.

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – This book is not a novel. It is a detailed description of almost all aspects of the Ora (the Komodo dragon inhabitant’s name for the Komodo monitor), not permitting the some anatomical details of the monitor. As the title implies, the Ora’s behavior is magnified greatly.
The book is a leading authority on the behavioral aspects of the book. Morphology, grow analysis, predator-prey coactions, and ecology information is also included and is very complete and well recorded (as is everything in the book).

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – The Travel Junkie has chosen 13 of the most inspiring travel songs of all time. Music helps us connect to others-to fellow travel junkies who might share our taste in songs and to locals who might not speak our language but can carry the rhythm.
For those of us with gypsy blood, music can speak to who we are and why it is that we can never seem to settle down. Music engenders a desire to see a new place, or to travel simply for the joy of the journey.
So if you’re homeward bound for the next few months, but itching to jet off somewhere exotic in Indonesia, explore the world from your armchair with our pick of the best songs for travel junkies.

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – One of my favorite travel experiences is to sample an area’s best street food. Some countries are more adept at this culinary treat than others; Indonesia for example has elevated street food to a science.
I love street food because it provides an honest, unfiltered look into the soul of a region and it doesn’t hurt that the food is usually delicious as well. Street food is a perfect budget alternative because, depending on where you are, it is the cheapest way to eat.
Here are some favorite street food that you can get for around a dollar in Indonesia.

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – The environment is obviously important to tourism. Both the natural environment (such as beaches, forests, waterways) and the built environment (such as historic buildings and ruins) must be preserved for an area to be environmentally sustainable.
Environmental sustainability means making sure resources in an area (whatever they may be) can be preserved for use by future generations. It’s much more than just being “green.”
